Know which server is about to fail, and why, before anyone logs a call.

SERVERMON watches CPU, memory, disk space, disk health, blue screens, and patch levels on every Windows server, and sends a WhatsApp alert when one needs attention, from an agent that never opens an inbound port.

Overview

What SERVERMON is

SERVERMON is a cloud-hosted monitoring platform for Windows servers. A small agent runs on each server as a Windows service and reports CPU, memory, commit charge, free space on every volume, network throughput, the busiest processes, disk health, blue screens, unexpected shutdowns, and patch level. The web console shows every server live, grouped the way your estate is actually organised, and keeps the history behind each number.

When something crosses a threshold for long enough to matter, SERVERMON opens an alert, sends it to the right people on WhatsApp, and tracks it until it is acknowledged and resolved. The agent only ever connects outbound over HTTPS, so there are no inbound ports to open and no domain credentials to hand over, and daily and hourly WhatsApp caps keep the messaging bill at a number you set in advance.

How It Works

Three components, one system

Each part is developed and deployed independently, and works together as one product.

Agent

On every Windows server

Runs as a Windows service, reads performance, disks, events, and inventory, and sends signed requests outbound over HTTPS.

Cloud API

Evaluation + alerting

Applies inherited thresholds and sustained periods, opens and resolves alerts, and enforces the WhatsApp caps.

Console

Web application

Live dashboard, server detail with history, alerts, thresholds, recipients, users, and the audit log.

Alerts go out on WhatsApp within daily and hourly caps you set, and every alert is tracked in the console from open to acknowledged to resolved.

Business Problem

The problems SERVERMON solves

  • Finding out a volume is full when the backups or the file shares stop working
  • A failing disk or a blue screen that nobody noticed until the server went down
  • Monitoring tools that need inbound ports, a VPN, or domain admin credentials
  • Alert storms when a whole site drops and every server pages separately
  • Messaging costs that grow without limit when something goes badly wrong
  • Servers that have quietly gone months without a patch or a reboot
  • No shared record of who saw an alert and what they did about it

Capabilities

What it does

  • Windows agent that runs as a service and connects outbound over HTTPS only
  • One-command install that can be pushed out through GPO, Intune, or an RMM tool
  • CPU, available memory, commit charge, and network throughput and utilisation per adapter
  • Free space on every volume, with a projection of how many days until it is full
  • Top processes by CPU and by memory, plus process, thread, and handle counts
  • Predicted disk failure, blue screens, unexpected shutdowns, and file-system errors
  • Patch age and pending-reboot tracking, with hardware and installed-software inventory
  • Threshold inheritance from defaults through organisation, group, and server, down to a single volume
  • Warning and critical levels with a sustained period, so a brief spike does not page anyone
  • Alert lifecycle of open, acknowledged with a note, and resolved, with a full timeline and export
  • WhatsApp alerting with daily and per-recipient hourly caps and a usage meter in rand
  • Mute, maintenance windows, monitoring hours, and site-outage detection to keep noise down
  • Roles, mandatory multi-factor sign-in for admins, and an audit log of every change

Detailed Capabilities

SERVERMON feature by feature

What each capability does, and why it matters.

Outbound-Only Windows Agent

One small service per server, installed with one command, talking out over HTTPS.

The SERVERMON agent runs on each Windows server as a LocalSystem service and collects its readings locally. Every request it makes is outbound and signed, so no inbound port, VPN, or stored domain credential is needed. The install is a single command, which means it can be rolled out through GPO, Intune, or whichever RMM tool you already use, and new servers wait for an admin to approve them before they appear.

Monitoring that your security team can sign off without opening the firewall.

Disk Space and Disk Health

Free space on every volume, a days-until-full projection, and predicted drive failure.

SERVERMON reports free space for every volume in gigabytes and as a percentage, and projects how many days remain before it fills at the current rate. Alongside that it watches SMART failure prediction, file-system error events, blue screens, and unexpected shutdowns, so the warning signs of a dying disk or an unstable server are raised as alerts instead of sitting unread in an event log.

Full volumes and failing drives become a planned task instead of an outage.

Live Dashboard and Server Detail

Every server on one screen, grouped by site, with history down to 90 days.

The dashboard groups servers the way you organise them, by site, role, or client, and shows each one's status, volume usage, CPU, memory, and network at a glance, updating live. Opening a server shows performance over the last hour up to the last 90 days, storage projections, the top processes by CPU and memory, recent events, hardware and software inventory, and its alert history.

One place to answer what is wrong, where, and since when.

Thresholds That Inherit

Set a standard once and override it for one group, one server, or one volume.

Every rule has a warning level, a critical level, and a sustained period. Values cascade from sensible defaults to the organisation, then to a group, a server, and finally a single volume, with the most specific setting winning and a one-click reset back to the inherited value. A CPU spike that lasts thirty seconds does not page anyone; ten minutes at 98% does.

Fewer false alarms, without losing sight of the servers that really are struggling.

WhatsApp Alerts With a Spending Cap

Alerts on WhatsApp, with daily and hourly caps and a running cost meter in rand.

Each rule can send to WhatsApp, and every message says which server, what crossed the line, and when. Daily caps and per-recipient hourly caps put a ceiling on how many messages can go out, a usage meter shows the estimated cost in rand, and delivery status is tracked per recipient. When a whole site drops, SERVERMON recognises it as a possible site outage and says so once, instead of sending one alert per server.

Alerts people actually read, and a messaging bill that cannot surprise you.

Alert Lifecycle and Audit

Open, acknowledged with a note, resolved, and every step on the record.

An alert moves from open to acknowledged to resolved, and its timeline records each step: when it opened, when it escalated from warning to critical, who acknowledged it and with what note, and when it cleared. Alerts can be filtered and exported to Excel or CSV, and the audit log records every change to servers, thresholds, users, and recipients.

A clear answer to who saw it and what was done, for the team and for the auditors.

Quiet When It Should Be

Mute a server, schedule maintenance, and set monitoring hours.

A server can be muted for anything from fifteen minutes to seven days while someone works on it, maintenance windows suppress alerts for planned work, and monitoring hours keep non-critical noise out of evenings and weekends. Cooldowns stop the same problem from alerting over and over.

Planned work stays planned, and the on-call phone stays quiet when nothing is wrong.

Multi-Tenant, Role-Based Access

Separate organisations, four roles, and mandatory multi-factor sign-in for admins.

Each organisation's servers, users, and alerts are strictly isolated from every other's, which suits an MSP looking after many clients as well as a single business. Users are admins, operators, or viewers, admins must sign in with an authenticator app, and password resets are confirmed by a WhatsApp code.

The right people see the right servers, and nobody else does.

FAQ

SERVERMON frequently asked questions

WINMON is agentless and built for fleets of Windows PCs and point-of-sale machines across many sites. SERVERMON puts a small agent on each Windows server and goes deeper: every volume's free space and days until full, disk failure prediction, blue screens, top processes, patch age, and history up to 90 days. Many businesses use WINMON for the shop floor and SERVERMON for the server room.
